Qingdao, China: Jiaozhou Bay Tunnel:

PE-1000+ Epoxy was selected by the China Railway Tunnel Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd., to hang heavy-duty ventilation equipment in the newly opened 9.5 km undersea tunnel, the longest in China.

The project required a high-strength, high-quality epoxy with international success stories and international approvals such as ICC-ES, ETA and also the China Grade A certification. The design engineers for the project reached out to Powers China engineers for software support to aid in design of the structural connections. Powers provided it's Powers Design Assist (PDA) anchor design software which is fully adapted for the China market with Chinese language support.

The easy to use software is available in multiple languages, and utilizes the most up to date design methodology with global approval standard design and ease of use between metric and ANSI rods.

In total, over 1,000 anchorages were made using PE-1000+ with M12, M16 and M24 threaded rods.
